After the Miami Heat defeated the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday at State Farm Arena, Victor Oladipo ended his postgame press conference by mocking Skip Bayless for claiming Jimmy Butler hates playing with him on the floor.
Bayless — known for his hot takes on Fox Sports 1’s Skip and Shannon: Undisputed — said Oladipo not getting any playing time had nothing to do with recovering from injury and everything to do with Butler not wanting to share the floor with him. At the time of Bayless’ remarks, the Heat were leading the Hawks 2-0 in the Eastern Conference First Round Playoffs matchup, and now lead 3-1 after Oladipo got his first minutes of action in the series.
“Both games he has not seen the light of play,” Bayless said. “Why is that? Well I was told it’s because Jimmy [Butler] just flat out told Spo [Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra], ‘I don’t want to share the floor with him.'”
Both Oladipo and Butler were clearly not thrilled with Bayless’ comments. As Oladipo finished his presser, Butler said: “Tell them how I much I hate you.” Oladipo then said: “Jimmy hates me, guys.” The two then hugged before Butler started his postgame interview.
